Welcome to the Rose and Crown Inn website.  Owners Charles and Barbara look forward to welcoming you personally to this historic old inn.

Originally built as a coaching inn during the 16th Century, the Rose and Crown has been offering hospitality to both travellers and locals for over 400 years – a tradition that we are proud to continue.  We are located in the centre of Nether Stowey, which lies on the A39 between Bridgwater and Minehead, at the foot of the beautiful Quantock Hills five miles south of the Bristol Channel.  The village is a haven for walkers and cyclists wishing to explore the surrounding hills, and for tourists exploring nearby attractions such as Exmoor and Cheddar Gorge.

The  Rose and Crown is a family run pub, and is very much the social centre of the village, where locals, visitors and families can enjoy a quiet drink or meal, in good company.  We have a longstanding reputation for the quality of our real ales, which has recently been acknowledged by our ‘Cask Marque’ award.

Why not call in for a pint of real ale or a glass of quality wine, some good food and lively conversation?
